Max Verstappen reflected on his contact with George Russell during the final laps of the Miami GP of Formula 1 that took place this Sunday (3).

The Dutchman’s race was quite eventful, first spinning at the start and dropping to the middle of the pack. Later on, he ended up involved in a collision with the Mercedes rival while fighting for fifth position.
Speaking to GPblog after this weekend’s race, Verstappen talked about the crash with Russell. “I think on the exit of turn 1 he touched my rear tire, so I think he suffered some damage to the front wing. Fortunately, I didn’t have a puncture. That can happen,” he said.

“There is nothing wrong with that. It has nothing to do with our history,” he continued.
The four-time world champion also spoke about his overtake on Charles Leclerc before the finish line. “I think Charles’ car was broken, so he was just taking the car to the end, right? I think he was using all the battery, like we all did, but for some reason, I managed to overtake him before the finish line.”
