Yuki Tsunoda finished the Italian Grand Prix in tenth place and scored points again in the category. The substitute driver at Racing Bulls celebrated the result and highlighted the quick recovery of pace after recent difficulties.

Tsunoda also thanked the team for the work done to help him quickly regain his performance. In the race, the main concern was related to the durability of the medium tires, but the behavior of the compound ended up being better than expected.
“We had a good race today, I am really happy with the result and for getting back into the points. A huge thank you to everyone at VCARB for helping me recover the pace so quickly,” said Tsunoda.
The Japanese driver admitted he had doubts about the possibility of taking the medium tires to the end, but explained that the degradation was under control: “I was a bit worried about making the medium tires last until the end, but they behaved better than expected,” he added.

Besides the result, Tsunoda highlighted the adaptation to the new aspects of the car and stated that he intends to keep evolving at every opportunity. When indirectly asked about possible future opportunities, the driver made it clear that he is ready, but prioritized Isack Hadjar’s recovery.
“I’m really enjoying learning all the new aspects of the car and continuing to evolve at every opportunity I have. If any future opportunity arises for me, of course I will be ready. But the most important thing is that Isack keeps recovering well, and I wish him all the best,” concluded the Red Bull ‘family’ reserve driver.
