Tuesday saw important movements both on and off the tracks in Formula 1. Rafael Câmara entered a decisive phase in the fight for a spot at Haas for 2027, Fernando Alonso appeared linked to staying at Aston Martin, and Mercedes admitted difficulties in keeping up with the update pace of rivals.

The main Brazilian highlight was again Rafa Câmara. Haas rented the Portimão circuit for a series of tests with old cars between Wednesday and Friday, and the Pernambucan will share activities with Leonardo Fornaroli and Ryo Hirakawa. Fred Vasseur reinforced that Ferrari is heavily investing in Câmara’s preparation and stated that, together with Haas, they are trying to find the best way to put him in Formula 1 next year.
Another important movement arose around Alonso. According to GPblog information, the Spaniard would have already decided to stay at Aston Martin in 2027, although neither party has officially confirmed the renewal. The expectation is that an announcement could happen during the Spanish GP weekend in Madrid, while internally there is confidence in the potential of the project led by Adrian Newey and Honda.
In the championship fight, Lando Norris adopted a cautious speech even after winning the last two races. The current champion stated that McLaren still does not have a sufficiently complete car for a consistent title reaction, mainly due to the deficiency in low-speed corners. Norris is fourth, with 159 points, 83 behind leader Kimi Antonelli.
Mercedes also acknowledged that the situation has become more complicated. Toto Wolff admitted that the team does not currently have the same resources to introduce updates as some rivals, after focusing investments on car construction at the beginning of the year. According to the executive, each new package can represent a few tenths of performance, precisely when McLaren and Ferrari are trying to reduce the advantage built by the German team.

At Red Bull, Isack Hadjar’s recovery still leaves the lineup open for the Italian GP. Liam Lawson will remain with the team until the trip to Monza and may again replace the Frenchman if he is not fully recovered from the wrist fracture. Hadjar, however, has already indicated improvement and showed optimism about the possibility of returning.
The post-Dutch GP also continued to generate repercussions. Lewis Hamilton took responsibility for the complaints made over the radio against Ferrari’s strategy and acknowledged that this “is not my best version.” Nico Hülkenberg received praise from Audi for the reaction that avoided a collision with Gabriel Bortoleto after the Brazilian’s spin in Zandvoort.
Finally, the calendar returned to the spotlight. Formula 1 continues to evaluate alternatives to ensure the season’s conclusion given the situation in the Middle East, while maintaining the goal of a calendar with at least 22 rounds. One of the possibilities discussed involves changes in the last races of the championship.
