Mike Krack, one of the leaders of Aston Martin alongside Adrian Newey, stated that there is “a lot of frustration” in the team due to the complicated start to the Formula 1 season. Despite this, he emphasizes the need to stay calm and face the competitive reality of the AMR26.

The Silverstone team has been facing problems with the car since the beginning of the year, both with the chassis and the power unit. At the Miami GP, there was a small improvement, with both cars finishing the race for the first time this season and improved reliability of the Honda engine, but the pace was still insufficient to fight for points.
Krack highlighted the emotional side of the situation but said that this is part of the competitive environment. “We are all competitors and we don’t want to be at the back of the pack,” he told the press. He also added: “When you see that there are problems, it’s no use getting frustrated, but you have to recognize that this is a human reaction.”

The executive also praised Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll for how they handle the pressure. “The drivers are the ones most exposed,” he said. “Having experienced drivers like Lance and Fernando running at the back of the pack is not their place. Certainly, there is a lot of frustration that we need to manage, but they are great professionals.”
