Currently, the standard distance is 305 kilometers. However, according to Autoracer, it was agreed that next year it will be only 290 kilometers, except for the Monaco GP due to the characteristics of the track.
The main expected change for 2027 in Formula 1 is that the participation of the combustion engine in the cars’ power increases. For this to happen, it is necessary to allow a higher fuel flow during the races.

The big question is: the more fuel used, the higher the consumption during the race.
One of the solutions would be an increase in the size of the fuel tanks, but this would clash with the need for teams to make significant changes to the cars such as alterations to the chassis and how components are installed. Also, the weight would increase significantly.
