Oscar Puente, Spain’s Minister of Transport, did not hold back his criticism of the Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1, saying that the event in Madrid was a ‘complete disaster’.

The Madring circuit drew several unfavorable opinions over the weekend. The French newspaper L’Equipe said the track is “a deadly sleep machine,” while Gabriel Bortoleto stated that he “almost fell asleep.”
Then, on social media, the politician also took the opportunity to give his opinion. Puente compared Madring to “Monaco 2, but faster. A train of cars from start to finish, with changes only in strategy.”

After the race where he was the winner, Kimi Antonelli stated that “some corners need to be changed so that there are overtaking opportunities.”
Meanwhile, Lando Norris, who started from pole position in Madring, said that “they need to get rid of corners 8 and 9. Just have more than one straight directly to the hairpin.”
