The official ticket website of the Enzo e Dino Ferrari Circuit has started displaying a page for a possible Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 GP in 2026. This development comes as the hosting of the Qatar and Abu Dhabi GPs remains uncertain due to instability in the Middle East.

On the ImolaGP portal page, the title appears as ‘Official tickets for the 2026 Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 GP’, accompanied by an interactive map with the circuit sectors. Among the listed areas are Villeneuve, Acque Minerali, and the General Admission category.
Despite the indication, it is not yet possible to purchase tickets. All sectors display the message that tickets will be available ‘soon’, along with an option for interested parties to be notified. The change also draws attention because a previous version of the portal, recorded on May 13, 2026, showed the event as the 2027 Emilia-Romagna GP.
This possibility of Imola’s return to the F1 calendar has gained institutional support in Italy. Gerónimo La Russa, president of the Automobile Club d’Italia, stated that he is working with the government and sports institutions to enable a second Italian race during the 2026 championship.

“Given the complex international situation in the Middle East, we are working together with the government and sports institutions to be ready to organize a second Formula 1 GP in our country in the coming months, still during the current championship. Imola is the ideal solution to host a new GP of the main world championship,” he declared.
The mayor of Imola, Marco Panieri, also stated that dialogue with the category continues. According to him, the works and investments at the circuit have continued with the goal of enabling the track’s return, while contacts with F1 have remained active: “Our channels of dialogue with Formula 1 have never been interrupted,” he added.
