The piece will be the main lot of an online sale organized by The Driver Lounge, in partnership with Bonhams, directly from the Schumacher Lounge hospitality area at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The suit was used in the race at the 2000 German GP, the season in which Schumacher won his first world title with Ferrari and ended a twenty-one-year drought for the Maranello team.

This suit preserves elements from the time, including the original sponsors and internal markings related to the races. The expectation is for an intense competition among interested parties, with the value possibly reaching the six-figure range.

The catalog also gathers other items linked to Schumacher’s career, such as the suits worn at the 1997 Australian GP and the 1998 San Marino GP. The collection also includes a suit of Rubens Barrichello, Schumacher’s teammate at Ferrari, used at the 2002 Australian GP, when the Brazilian secured pole position.

The sale also connects different generations of F1, with items from the current grid. Among the items are suits worn by Kimi Antonelli at the 2025 GPs in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, as well as the suit used by Lando Norris in his victory at Monza the same year. All proceeds will be donated to the Keep Fighting Foundation, a charitable initiative inspired by Schumacher.

Rich Soddy, founder of The Driver Lounge, highlighted the importance of the collection: “The Michael Schumacher suit worn at the 2000 German GP is a truly special piece in Formula 1 history,” he said, also emphasizing the presence of other historic items and donations from current teams and drivers.

Sabine Kehm, managing director of the Keep Fighting Foundation, stated that Monza is a particularly fitting place to honor Schumacher. According to her, the setting gains even more significance given the thirtieth anniversary of the German’s victory in Monza, while James Garguilo, Bonhams Motorsport specialist, highlighted that this year’s edition promises to be bigger than the last, aiming to raise funds for the foundation.
