Daniel Ricciardo revealed that he still keeps in touch with Max Verstappen, with the four-time world champion being the current Formula 1 driver he exchanges the most messages with.

The Australian left the grid after the 2024 Singapore GP and has since ruled out any return to the category. Also, he has not competed in any other category and has become an ambassador for Ford Racing.

But even after his farewell, Danny Ric still keeps in touch with some drivers on the grid, as he shared on the podcast Box Box with Bella. “Why do you think my answer will be Max and you want me to speak well of him? Probably, in terms of text messages, I would say most of my options would be Max.”

Daniel also highlighted that his former teammate Lando Norris is terrible at replying to texts. “Lando is awful at messaging. Yeah, I think he gets bored after a few messages and just stops replying,” he said.
About himself, Ricciardo added that “I send a lot of voice messages. It’s a pretty selfish attitude, but I love it.”
