Oscar Piastri showed optimism when thinking about the second half of the 2026 Formula 1 season, believing he will be able to fight for wins in the next 12 races on the calendar.

The Australian’s campaign start was far from ideal, struggling to achieve competitive results – in the first two rounds of the year, in Australia and China, he was unable to start. Now, he is in seventh position with 72 points and only two podiums.
However, he is optimistic about the continuation of the year and when asked what he expects for the second half of the F1 season, he replied, “I think, for me, it’s always about trying to evolve and learn more. I believe any learning that can help me when we are again in a stronger position will be a positive thing.”

“In terms of results, I would love to be able to fight for wins again, like I did at Hungaroring. I think if we can start fighting for wins, then we can think about what is possible to achieve in the championship.”
“But above all, we need to ensure we are extracting the maximum from the car and ourselves every weekend. Then, if we have a car capable of winning, we can try for the victory,” he added.
