Sergio Pérez will start from the pit lane at the Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1 after Cadillac changed the suspension of his car under parc fermé conditions. The change was made before this Sunday’s race in Zandvoort.

The Mexican had finished Saturday’s qualifying in 22nd position. In an effort to improve the car’s race pace and also try a different setup, Cadillac decided to adjust the suspension.
Since the intervention occurred under parc fermé rules, Pérez automatically receives the penalty of starting from the pit lane. Therefore, the change alters his starting position relative to the initially defined grid.

Valtteri Bottas, Pérez’s teammate at Cadillac, starts from 21st position and becomes the last car lined up on the starting grid.
The Dutch GP starts this Sunday at 10:00 AM Brasília time (GMT -3). Pérez, in turn, will leave the pits after the other cars have started.
