The Mexican’s name was in the middle of driver market rumors, linking him with Williams and Alpine. However, even with the problems of the rookie team, which has not yet scored points after 11 rounds, Checo is satisfied with what he has done and, therefore, another year is not a surprise.


“Well, on my part, this was already clear when I came here. It was a two-year agreement. But, obviously, I want this. I see this as my project and I want to be part of Cadillac in the long term, because when you start something from scratch, it takes a lot of time,” he said.

“I am very happy here and hope to continue in the long term. I think there will be some talks later on and we will see what happens,” he added.
