The Red Bull chief highlighted how the four-time world champion manages to have sensations in the RB22 that make a huge difference for the team. “It is a fact that Max perceives things that we cannot measure with our current sensors and car data analysis systems,” he told De Telegraaf.


“I will be very honest about this. This is the result of his extraordinary sensitivity behind the wheel and the technical level he possesses. I do not see this as a cause for concern, but rather as a great strength,” he pointed out.

“To give an example, early this year Max felt there was a problem with the steering box, something we could not detect. But thanks to him, we managed to solve the issue. As a team, we only have to gain from this,” he added.
