The move reinforces the team’s strategy to expand its brand beyond F1, leveraging the visibility of the Miami GP to officially present the new venture. The bet involves entering the golf equipment market, announced earlier this year.

To lead this initiative, McLaren has signed Justin Rose, former world number one and US Open champion, who will act as an ambassador and also an investor for McLaren Golf. The Briton has a close connection with the team’s CEO, Zak Brown, and has previously played rounds with Lando Norris on other occasions.

Rose highlighted his direct involvement in the project from the beginning as a decisive factor: “From the start, it was a passionate project. I had the opportunity to participate from the beginning, working with the team, testing the clubs and helping to shape the final product,” he stated. He also emphasized the team’s standard, saying it ‘made the decision easy’.

The debut of McLaren Golf will take place in Miami, during the Cadillac Championship, where Rose will use the brand’s equipment, including a bag in the traditional papaya color. The official launch is scheduled for the eve of the Miami GP, integrating the team’s activities during the category’s weekend.

With this new development, McLaren expands its presence in new markets and bets on the global reach of Formula 1 to strengthen the new brand.
