F1: Marko talks about relationship with Red Bull in the last 20 years: "Extraordinary journey"

Helmut Marko already has his return to Formula 1 scheduled for the 2026 season. The executive will be an ambassador for the Red Bull Ring in this championship and took the opportunity to talk about the good relationship with Red Bull in recent decades.

The Austrian has been involved with the team since its inception in the category 20 years ago. Then, after successful involvement with the young driver program, he said goodbye to the Milton Keynes team at the end of the 2025 season, being another key piece that has left recently.

So, with the Austrian GP scheduled between June 26 and 28, Helmut commented on his relationship with Red Bull in Formula 1. “I have been involved in motorsport for six decades and the last 20 years at Red Bull have been an extraordinary and extremely successful journey,” he said.

“It was a wonderful period that I was able to help shape and share with so many talented people. Everything we built and achieved together fills me with pride. Coming so close to winning the world championship this season deeply moved me and showed me that now is the right time to close this long, intense, and achievement-filled chapter,” he continued.

“I wish the entire team much success and I am convinced that they will be fighting for both world titles again next year,” he added.
