Verstappen signed an agreement last week that guarantees his stay at Red Bull until the end of 2030. The deal represents a two-year extension compared to the previous contract, which was valid until the end of the 2028 season.

The renewal also put an end to rumors linking the Dutchman to a possible transfer to Mercedes, and more recently, to McLaren. If he fulfills the new contract until 2030, Verstappen could become the first driver in F1 history to stay for fifteen seasons with the same team, considering his debut with Red Bull in 2016.

After the announcement, RacingNews365 conducted a survey to find out readers’ opinions about the Dutch driver’s decision. The option to stay at Red Bull received 59.21% of the votes, securing a comfortable lead over the other alternatives.
The second most chosen response indicated that Verstappen should have tried a transfer to Mercedes. This possibility was supported by about a quarter of the participants, nearly 34% less than the option favoring staying at Red Bull.
