Arvid Lindblad made history in his first Formula 1 race, at the Australian GP last weekend, by scoring his first career points with an eighth-place finish. The Briton, aged eighteen years, seven months, and one day, became the third youngest driver to score points in the category, behind only Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen, who still holds the record by scoring his first points at seventeen.

“It was incredible to finish my debut with points and race among the leaders in the first laps,” said Lindblad, reflecting on his performance with the Racing Bulls car.
The young driver, with Swedish and Indian roots, also spoke about the special connection he feels with Lewis Hamilton: “Hamilton was the driver I admired most growing up. I remember watching every one of his achievements and titles since I was a child. Now, lining up alongside him on the track will be something very special,” he stated.

He highlighted that the connection goes beyond admiration: “We have the same debut age in Formula 1 and that has always been inspiring to me. Being in the same season as Hamilton is truly special,” he added.
With a promising debut, Lindblad already joins the select group of young talents who quickly leave their mark on Formula 1, showing that the new generation is ready to compete among the best in the world.
