“It was very clear, I love the team. I think that’s quite obvious from the outside. It’s already eight years with the Formula 1 team, ten years at Ferrari as a whole. They were one of the first people to believe in me and help me get to where I am today. Above all, I believe in the project.”
“I think with Fred we have a very, very good relationship, and I firmly believe that he is the person who will be able to bring Ferrari back to the top. It was a good start to the season, not as good as we would like because we want the world championship, but there was innovation in the car. We know where we are deficient, especially in the engine. We have a plan and that should help us get back to where we want to be.”

During the 2025 season, rumors emerged about Vasseur’s future, but Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton publicly defended him. Now, the Monegasque reinforces his alignment with the team’s vision: “I am totally aligned with his vision. I believe in Fred. It’s the first car made together with him and we see many innovations. We have a long-term vision, not too long because we want to win as quickly as possible. And that makes me believe in the project more than ever.”

With a multi-season contract, Leclerc also commented on the possibility of ending his career with the team, but avoided making definitive statements. “I am still very young, I am 28 years old, so I have many years ahead of me. At the moment, it feels right for me. I want to focus on winning with the team I love. As for the future, we will see. I don’t know what it will be like in five, six, seven, or ten years.”
He concluded by highlighting the emotional weight of winning with Ferrari: “My love for the team is very great. Winning in red has a unique feeling, it’s what I’ve been looking for since I arrived in Formula 1. We haven’t achieved that in a full season yet. I cannot go into contract details.”
