Charles Leclerc commented on the incident with Oscar Piastri at the Formula 1 Belgian GP and admitted he went ‘a bit too far’ when defending against the Australian.

At Spa-Francorchamps, the Monegasque ended up touching the McLaren driver in a defensive move, squeezing his opponent. In the end, the Ferrari driver escaped a penalty and still crossed the finish line in second place, while Oscar was fifth.
Piastri was confused by the lack of penalty and said the pair were ‘lucky’ to escape a bigger accident. Speaking about the Australian’s statement, Leclerc said, “I think I more or less agree with Oscar.”

“Ultimately, my approach in the car is to try and push everything to the limit. With Oscar, the situation went a bit beyond that; so, it’s probably not the way I want to race all the time,” he continued.
“It’s also risky for me, ultimately. You always try to leave as little space as possible. That perhaps went a bit too far, it was a risky situation,” he added.
