Charles Leclerc concluded Friday’s (5) free practice sessions for the Monaco GP, acknowledging that Ferrari still needs to evolve in some aspects, but showing confidence for qualifying. The Monegasque was the second fastest of the day, just 0s111 behind his teammate, Lewis Hamilton. Despite the proximity to the lead, Leclerc assessed that the team’s work is not yet complete.

“It was a complicated day, with some work ahead, especially regarding brake balance,” he stated. The driver highlighted that the main concern is related to the car’s setup. “But I love this track and it’s good to be back racing here,” he declared.
With qualifying traditionally considered the most important session of the weekend in Monaco, Leclerc believes that Ferrari can still find the necessary gains to compete for the first position on the grid: “Qualifying tomorrow will be very close, so I hope we can take a step forward and fight for pole position.”

The Monegasque’s expectation now is that the work carried out overnight will allow Ferrari to find the final adjustments to transform the good performance in practice into a real bid for pole position on the streets of the Principality.
