Lewis Hamilton thanked everyone on his team for managing to get the car ready for the Belgian GP qualifying in Formula 1 after the TL3 crash, while admitting that the balance was no longer the same afterwards.

The seven-time champion suffered a heavy crash at the end of the last practice at the Les Fagnes corner, becoming doubtful for the timed session. In the end, he managed to run and starts in fifth position at Spa-Francorchamps.
“The guys did a great job fixing the car and these things happen, you move on and maximized what you could in qualifying, I think my laps were pretty decent,” he said.

“I think something was not the same in the rear suspension, so I think the balance was not the same compared to TL3, where the car was great. They were pushed until the last minute to fix the problem, so I’m grateful they managed, and I hope the car is still in good condition,” he added.
Hamilton also took the opportunity to comment on Red Bull’s strategy where Isac Hadjar provided a slipstream for Max Verstappen and the Dutchman starts from the front row. “It’s always something powerful on this track. I saw it. It was a perfect slipstream. He certainly gained good time with that. But that has always been an important advantage here and at Monza,” he concluded.
