Lewis Hamilton arrives at the Dutch GP with a special motivation. The Ferrari driver aims to achieve a victory in Zandvoort, one of the few circuits on the Formula 1 calendar where he has yet to win.

The Briton highlighted that he has already triumphed on most of the tracks on the calendar, but considers Zandvoort a challenge still pending. Besides the possibility of achieving an unprecedented result, Hamilton emphasized the atmosphere created by the fans and the strong presence of Max Verstappen supporters.
Hamilton also arrives at the second half of the season boosted by his first victory for Ferrari, achieved in Barcelona, as well as other podiums that placed him in second position in the drivers’ championship. The Briton remains in contention with Kimi Antonelli and Mercedes, despite the significant gap in the standings.
When asked about his motivation for this weekend, Hamilton made it clear that he intends to seize the opportunity: “I don’t think I have won here, as far as I know. So, I’ve won practically on all the other tracks, but I don’t think, I don’t remember if I’ve won here before. So, I definitely want to change that. I’m extremely motivated,” he said.

The seven-time world champion also explained what makes Zandvoort a particular challenge in his F1 career: “It’s simply an incredible circuit. Great crowd, obviously, very special, particularly for Max, since he comes here and receives incredible support throughout the weekend,” he added.
Hamilton continued, saying that the crowd directly contributes to the atmosphere of the event and acknowledged that he does not yet consider himself to have fully mastered the Dutch track; “It’s a track I haven’t truly conquered yet, I would say, so it’s definitely something I will try to do this weekend,” he concluded.
