Lewis Hamilton is already back on track after his bitter retirement at the Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1. The Briton drove the SF-26 on the morning of this Tuesday (15) in Imola as part of a Pirelli tire test already thinking about 2027. Charles Leclerc took over in the afternoon.

In Madrid last weekend, the Briton reported having lost brakes early in the race. Shortly after, on lap 7, he had to go to the pits and retire the car, abandoning his first race since the 2025 São Paulo GP and ending the longest points streak in 2026.
But after the stint in Spain, he is in Italy for a day of testing to collect data for the tire supplier. The seven-time champion drove the SF-26 in the morning session, with the Monegasque taking over in the afternoon.

The Ferrari duo is not alone at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit this week. Racing Bulls is also part of the two-day Pirelli testing program, which takes place this Tuesday and Wednesday, September 15 and 16.
The activities of the Maranello team are not limited to Pirelli tests. On Wednesday, a Previous Cars Test [TPC] using a car from a previous season is expected. Antonio Giovinazzi, reserve driver, is expected to participate in the session.
