Isack Hadjar chose to focus on the positive aspects of his debut with Red Bull Racing at the Formula 1 Australian GP, even though he had to retire from the race prematurely on the 11th lap due to an engine failure.

“As for the first weekend, there were no mistakes. I think even the start of the race was very good,” Hadjar stated, showing satisfaction with his performance. The Frenchman, promoted to the main team after a learning season with the sister team, Racing Bulls, highlighted that he exceeded his own expectations at the Albert Park circuit.
“I think I was a bit better than I expected. I did my best until we had all the problems. It was a very good weekend to start, I would say,” he added.

Regarding the team’s performance as a whole, especially with the engine produced by Red Bull Powertrains-Ford, Hadjar was succinct: “Very positive. They were happy.” When asked about a possible phone call from Helmut Marko, former Red Bull consultant, the driver replied with good humor: “No, I still get calls from Helmut. He is never impressed,” he concluded laughing.
Despite facing some difficulties in pre-season testing in Bahrain, and having a mechanical problem in Australia, Hadjar shows confidence in his adaptation to the Milton Keynes team and in the continuity of his evolution in the championship.
