After finishing the Hungarian GP in sixth place, the Frenchman was asked if his assessment of the car was aligned with that of the four-time world champion, who finished second: “Yes, which is comforting, let’s say. Otherwise, I would be asking myself questions. So that is the good news.”
During the weekend at Hungaroring, Red Bull had difficulties finding the ideal setup. Hadjar stated that he also struggled with the car’s behavior, while Verstappen said that the RB22 was “degrading” like a tire, getting “worse and worse, lap after lap” in qualifying.

Hadjar also highlighted that he needs to improve in race pace, despite having shown consistent performance in fast laps throughout the first 11 rounds of the season. “I think that also shows why the difference in qualifying is always so small,” he added. “I just need an answer about that first stint, because, for me, that was what really frustrated me. The rest, everything else this weekend, was good.”
