Isack Hadjar is out of the Dutch Grand Prix of Formula 1 after suffering a wrist injury during the summer break. Red Bull confirmed that Liam Lawson will take over the RB22 this weekend in Zandvoort.

The change will also cause an alteration in Racing Bulls. With Lawson moved to the main team, Yuki Tsunoda will leave his reserve role and return to compete in a Grand Prix, forming the Faenza team’s duo alongside Arvid Lindblad.

Red Bull only informed that Hadjar suffered the injury during the break and that the problem prevents him from competing in the Dutch round. “The team wishes Isack a speedy recovery and thanks Liam for stepping in at the last minute,” the team announced.

Soon after, Racing Bulls confirmed the effect of the substitution on its own lineup. “As a result of the driver change, reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda will race for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort this weekend, alongside Arvid Lindblad,” it informed.

Both teams highlighted the drivers’ availability for the last-minute change. Racing Bulls thanked Lawson and Tsunoda for adapting while the structures prepare for the weekend and also wished Hadjar a speedy recovery.

The Dutch GP will thus have a different lineup in the two teams linked to Red Bull: Lawson will replace Hadjar in the main team, while Tsunoda takes the spot left by the New Zealander in Racing Bulls.
