Red Bull Racing arrives at the Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1 with important updates, but without exaggerated promises. Isack Hadjar took a cautious tone when assessing the impact of the team’s upgrades.

The Frenchman made it clear that he does not expect an immediate change in the level of competitiveness, especially in the fight for podiums. Still, he sees positive signs in the new package, which could help the team take a step forward after a season start far below expectations.
“I don’t expect to be fighting for the podium this weekend. We are not the only team bringing updates, but we believe we have something stronger,” Hadjar said. He emphasized that the updates should not solve all problems but could improve performance in key areas. “I hope we can start reaching Q3 more often, that would already be progress,” he added.

Another factor that may influence performance is the lack of track time. With the Sprint format, there will be only one free practice session before the Sprint qualifying, which increases the challenge of adaptation. Hadjar acknowledged that this could make the start of the weekend difficult, especially after a few weeks without driving.
Red Bull currently occupies sixth place in the constructors’ championship, far from the leader Mercedes. The team faced constant problems in the early stages and only recently managed to finish a race with both cars, at the Japanese GP, a scenario that reinforces the importance of the updates in Miami.
