Haas left the Hungarian F1 GP weekend with zero points. This Sunday (26), after the race, Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon highlighted the difficulties they faced throughout the 70 laps.

At Hungaroring, the Frenchman achieved the best result for the team before the summer break, crossing the finish line in 16th. However, compared to his starting position, he lost one place.
“We had a good start once again; we got close to the points zone, which was very good, but we couldn’t hold off the cars behind us. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough speed to keep them behind us. The tires also suffered a lot of degradation, so we need to seek more performance for the car,” he said.
“We need to analyze the upcoming updates and hope they make a difference; the team will work on that. There are many positives to take from this weekend on my part; I am very pleased that we managed to extract the maximum from the car and maintained consistency from Friday to Sunday. Now, we just need more performance,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Briton received the checkered flag only in 19th place, and already expected Haas to struggle in Hungary. “It was a very long day, as we had already predicted. The lack of qualifying pace was exacerbated in the race setup, as there was a lot of sliding and tire degradation. Furthermore, I simply couldn’t overtake; I got stuck in traffic and, in any case, didn’t have the pace,” he said.
“We need to understand why Spa was so good and this weekend was so bad, as the feeling was the complete opposite and I lost all confidence in the car. There wasn’t a single lap this weekend where I felt good with the car; therefore, we need to understand the reason and analyze the situation thoroughly,” he concluded.
