During the race in Suzuka, the Briton was traveling at a much higher speed than Franco Colapinto in front of him – about a 50km/h difference. Therefore, when he moved onto the grass, he lost control and hit the barrier with a force of 50G, limping away from the car.
The incident sparked debates about the new regulations and the FIA confirmed it will hold meetings during April for possible adjustments.

But regarding the crash, Komatsu revealed that Bearman is fine. “He is fine,” he confirmed to Sky Sports News. “Fortunately, he only hurt his knee, nothing broken,” he continued.
“I am very grateful that he didn’t suffer anything too serious. He should be fully ready for Miami,” he concluded.
