Fernando Alonso and Adrian Newey will be the main names at the official FIA press conferences, before the Formula 1 Hungarian GP, which reaches its last stage before the mid-season break.

The Hungaroring circuit hosts the 11th round of the 2026 season, just days after a busy Belgian GP. While some left Spa-Francorchamps celebrating their results, others ended the weekend with frustration, increasing anticipation for this upcoming weekend’s race.
Even before the start of track activities, attention turns to the traditional press meetings organized by the FIA. In these sessions, drivers and team members share their expectations for the event and answer questions from the journalists present.
The first drivers’ press conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 2:30 PM local time. Alonso from Aston Martin will be accompanied by Franco Colapinto from Alpine and Carlos Sainz from Williams, forming the first group to speak with the press.
Following that, at 3:00 PM local time, it will be the turn of Oliver Bearman from Haas, Oscar Piastri from McLaren, and Isack Hadjar from Red Bull Racing to participate in the second session. Verstappen, as well as the other drivers not part of these groups, will fulfill their media commitments later in their respective teams’ hospitality areas.

Among the team representatives, Adrian Newey will be one of the highlights on Friday, July 24, at 3:30 PM local time. The Aston Martin executive will share the press conference with Simon Resta, Deputy Technical Director of Mercedes, and Pierre Waché, Technical Director of Red Bull Racing.
Aston Martin is expected to receive special attention throughout the weekend, as they are preparing to introduce their first major chassis upgrade of the season, after a very difficult period in the first ten rounds.
As is traditional, the official FIA schedule will conclude with the press conference of the top three qualifiers after Saturday’s qualifying session, while the top three finishers in the GP will participate in the press conference after Sunday’s race.
