Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will not rest during Formula 1’s forced break in April. The seven-time champion and the Monegasque will participate in a Pirelli test with Ferrari this week, according to information from GPblog.

The last race took place in Japan between March 27 and 29, and the next stop on the calendar will be in Miami on the first weekend of May. Therefore, the tire supplier is using the weeks to conduct tests – it has already carried out one in Suzuka with Red Bull and Racing Bulls.
Furthermore, it is on its calendar to go to Nurburgring with McLaren and Mercedes, and this week, between April 9 and 10, it will go to Fiorano to conduct tests with the wet tire – therefore, the asphalt will be artificially wetted.

Also according to GPblog, both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will be part of the activity, with no reserve driver scheduled to drive in Italy. This was deliberate, as Pirelli asked for the regular drivers to drive.
Later in April, Ferrari is expected to conduct another test, this time in Monza. The Maranello team will test an improved version of the engine on a filming day, where only 200km can be covered. No name has been announced for the activity yet.
