The return to Monza has a special meaning for Ferrari and its fans, and Leclerc highlighted the importance of seeking the best possible result on Sunday: “We still have some work ahead, as our competitors seem strong, but so far, the feeling with the car has been consistent,” he said.
Leclerc also explained that the team already knows some of its limitations and intends to focus efforts on these areas. According to Leclerc, the goal will be to make the most of the remaining work to arrive at the race in a position to fight for the best possible result.
On the other side of the garage, Lewis Hamilton had a day with both positive and negative assessments. The Briton highlighted the progress provided by the updated power unit and thanked the team for the work done, but admitted he still found it difficult to extract the full potential of the car.

“The updated power unit is a step in the right direction and I am very grateful to everyone at the factory for all the work done,” said Hamilton. The British driver added that the changes made throughout the day brought positive aspects, but it was still difficult to complete a lap without compromising some sector.
Hamilton stated that Ferrari will analyze the collected data to better understand the points that prevented a more complete performance. The intention is to find a more suitable operating window for the car and arrive at the qualifying session on Saturday in the best possible condition.
