Ferrari will have a special look at the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1 next weekend, with the SF-26 receiving a tribute to Michael Schumacher. The change celebrates the remarkable time the German spent with the Italian team.

The tribute was prepared to commemorate thirty years since Schumacher’s first victory with Ferrari in 1996, and twenty years since his last season with the team in 2006. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will also have customized suits to accompany the tribute.
These suits have white stripes on the front and shoulders, as well as Schumacher’s personal logo. Seven white stars appear on the back, representing the seven world championships won by the German driver.

On the SF-26, the main change is in the paint. Ferrari removed the white engine cover used since the beginning of the year and adopted a completely red design, while the font of the numbers was also modified to refer to Schumacher’s period with the team.
The heptachampion’s signature was also incorporated into the car. The choice of the look seeks to rescue Ferrari’s identity during one of the most victorious eras in its history, marked by Schumacher’s seventy-two wins and the five consecutive titles won between 2000 and 2004.
