The Italian took the lead definitively after George Russell retired, who had a long duel with his teammate until suffering an apparent power unit failure. Lewis Hamilton finished second after pressuring Max Verstappen in the final laps and earned his first podium with Ferrari, while the Dutchman completed the top 3. The race also saw important retirements from Norris, Pérez, and Albon, as well as penalties for Piastri, Hadjar, and Gabriel Bortoleto, who had a difficult race with Audi after betting on intermediate tires at the start.
