Speculation first arose during the Canadian GP weekend. The information suggested that the Finnish driver’s position in the team was under threat as early as the Monaco GP, which takes place next week.
The claims are that Cadillac is dissatisfied with Bottas’s performance in F1 and would replace him with Colton Herta. But Lowdon quickly clarified everything.

“There is no truth whatsoever in any of the rumors. I can state this categorically. Well… where to start talking about the rumors? I will make it very clear, factually, that they are completely incorrect. There is no basis of truth in any of them,” he said.
“Secondly, if we analyze the work both drivers are doing, both Valtteri and Checo [Perez], they are doing much more than drivers from some other teams, because we are building the team while racing at the same time, and that is a very unusual task,” he added.
