Cadillac arrives at the Canadian Grand Prix of Formula 1, excited after the signs of progress shown in Miami. After introducing its first major update package, the team believes it can continue to close the gap to the strongest competitors on the grid.

The performance in Miami brought confidence to the structure led by Graeme Lowdon. Besides the performance gain observed on track, the team also managed to complete both the Sprint race and the main GP with both cars, a result seen internally as an important step in the project’s development: “The team performed really well in Miami. We introduced our first major update package, which resulted in a remarkable performance increase, and once again both cars finished the Sprint and the GP,” said Lowdon.
The Cadillac boss also highlighted the team’s operational evolution during the American weekend. According to him, two pit stops performed by the team were among the ten fastest of the event, something that reinforces the perception of growth within the operation: “The team executed two pit stops that were among the ten fastest of the weekend, showing that, from an operational point of view, we are on a strong growth trajectory,” he concluded. For Montreal, the manager believes the main goal will be to maintain momentum on a circuit very different from Miami.
Sergio Perez also showed optimism after feeling the improved performance of the updated car. The Mexican stated that Cadillac managed to prove on track that the new parts worked as expected.

“Miami was a very enjoyable weekend. We had better pace from the start and showed our ability to bring major updates that delivered results on track. Now it’s about refining what we have and extracting the true potential of all elements,” he added.
Valtteri Bottas followed a similar line to his teammate and highlighted the potential demonstrated by Cadillac, despite the race in Miami not going exactly as planned. The Finn also pointed out the extra challenge imposed by the Sprint format in Canada.
“This weekend will be a new challenge for us because the track is very technical, the walls are very close, and we will have to gain speed quickly because of the Sprint format,” said Bottas. The driver also recalled his positive history in Montreal: “It’s a circuit I really like and where I’ve had good results in the past. I still like to see my name as the track record holder,” he added with a smile.
