The Red Bull four-time champion has been increasingly direct about his discontent with the new regulations and his unhappiness in the category. He even said he will use the coming weeks to reflect on his life and whether or not he should continue in the competition in the future.
However, for the current Formula 1 commentator, the Dutchman’s departure would not leave a vacuum on the grid. “No one is indispensable in this business,” he told Sky F1.

“I’ve seen several incredible people pass through this sport and no longer be with us, or move on and do something else. The sport continues. The great Murray Walker would be one of them. And that goes for any of us. The minute we stop, people will be talking about who will take over next,” he added.
