The seven-time world champion extracted the maximum from the SF-26. Starting from seventh, he jumped to fourth at the start and even ran in podium positions during part of the race at Albert Park. In the end, he crossed the finish line in fourth place behind the Mercedes duo and Charles Leclerc.
