Gabriel Bortoleto left wanting more from the Miami GP of Formula 1. Even in a recovery race this Sunday (3), the Brazilian regretted not being able to score points in the race.

The Audi driver’s race was already looking difficult even before the start. The reason was that in a complicated qualifying, he did not have enough time to set a competitive lap and had to start from the last row of the pack.
In the race, he took advantage of retirements and opportunities to gain ground and cross the finish line in 12th. However, he regretted not having more chances in the race due to the poor starting position.

“There wasn’t much more we could do in the race. I was gaining positions, I was at my pace, my pace was very good I would say, close to the pace of the two Williams and that is very encouraging. But at the same time, I think it’s sad because I think it’s a weekend where we could have scored points if we hadn’t had any problems in qualifying yesterday,” he told Guilherme Pereira from SporTV.
“Our car is easily a Q2 car and possibly this weekend it was a Q3 car. So, having to start 21st, getting stuck behind cars in the first laps because there’s nothing you can do, and then gaining positions is not easy, but it was what was possible today,” he added.
