Gabriel Bortoleto is excited to continue with the 2026 Formula 1 season. After an encouraging start in Australia, he hopes to fight for good results at the Chinese GP, but also prefers to keep his feet on the ground.

In the opening round of the calendar in Melbourne, the Brazilian already started on the right foot. After starting from tenth position, he managed to move up through the field and crossed the finish line in ninth, bringing two points home.
Now, in Shanghai, he hopes to be able to replicate some lessons learned in the Bahrain pre-season to seek good results in this second round of F1.

“Melbourne was a very encouraging start to the season: scoring points in our debut race was something very special and a great moment for everyone who worked hard on this project. At the same time, we are keeping our feet on the ground: it was just the first of many races ahead of us, and there is still a lot to learn and understand about our car,” he said.
“Analyzing the track layout, Shanghai is quite similar to some of the challenges we faced in Bahrain during the pre-season, so we can expect to use some of those lessons to get ahead in the only free practice session we will have. We will need to work hard and start on the right foot, as we know how competitive the midfield is at this stage,” he added.
