Gabriel Bortoleto participated in a test with Pirelli this Tuesday (28). The Brazilian was at Hungaroring for the first of two days of activities alongside Franco Colapinto and Jak Crawford, Aston Martin’s reserve, with the goal of developing the tires for the 2027 Formula 1 season.

The first session of activities took place two days after the Hungarian GP, where Lando Norris claimed victory, Max Verstappen finished second, and Kimi Antonelli completed the podium in Budapest.
So, on this initial day of activities, the trio ran with various variations of the new C3 compound, doing race simulations to check how the tire works and the degradation over the laps. While Crawford followed his own program, Colapinto and Bortoleto also tested the C4 and C5 in qualifying simulations.
The track conditions were similar to those of the race last Sunday, the 26th. The temperature was 30ºC and the asphalt reached around 53ºC, which allowed Pirelli to collect important data on the behavior of the compounds.

At the end of this Tuesday, Bortoleto was the one who ran the most, completing 141 laps, with 136 from Crawford and 128 from Colapinto. In lap times, the Argentine was the best with 1min20s371, with the Brazilian doing 1min20s813 and the British driver 1min24s598.
On Wednesday, the 29th, the second and last day of Pirelli testing at Hungaroring takes place. This time, only Bortoleto and Colapinto will participate.
