Oliver Bearman spoke about his medium-term goals within Formula 1. The Brit highlighted how he still aims to drive for Ferrari, but does not want to wait a lifetime for the opportunity.
The current Haas driver, a member of the Ferrari Academy, made his debut in the category replacing Carlos Sainz at the Maranello team in the 2020 Saudi Arabian GP, crossing the finish line in seventh place.
His full-time grid debut the following year and so far, has a fourth place in Mexico 2025 as his best result. Speaking to the Beyond the Grid podcast, he highlighted that “for me, Ferrari is the dream team, not just because I am part of it, but simply because it is probably the most iconic brand in the world.”

“Therefore, my goal remains to become a Ferrari driver one day. That is the situation at the moment; then, we need to see how things evolve. Of course, I don’t want to be stuck for three, four, or five years waiting for a spot to open up, because there are no guarantees and you could end up wasting your best years.”
“My ultimate goal is perhaps a bit selfish, and that’s okay, because that’s why I’m here: I want to compete for world titles. So, if I get that opportunity wherever it may be, I will take it. If that means not being at Ferrari, because they can’t offer me that condition, then that’s life. That’s not up to me. Of course, I want to fight for wins and championships; and, with any team where I believe that is possible, I will be happy to take that step alongside them,” he concluded.
