Kimi Antonelli saved another podium in the 2026 season at the Formula 1 Hungarian GP. This Sunday (26), the Italian managed to cross the finish line in third place.

At Hungaroring, the Mercedes driver suffered a penalty in qualifying and had to start only from seventh position. During the race, which was then eventful and marked by different strategies, he managed to take advantage of the opportunities to finish behind only Lando Norris, the winner, and Max Verstappen, second.


Summing up the race at Hungaroring, the F1 championship leader highlighted the difficulties over the 70 laps, but celebrated the positive result, especially now during the season’s summer break.

“It was a difficult race; we had to try something with the strategy. We tried to do just one stop, but the tires were at their limit, so we had to stop. I am very happy; it’s the best way to reach the summer break [leading the championship]. We need to keep pushing, as the second half of the season will be difficult,” he said.
