Kimi Antonelli found a unique and very Italian way to celebrate his first Formula 1 victory at home at the Italian GP.

The Mercedes driver started from 19th place in the race at Monza and climbed through the pack lap by lap until he achieved victory in front of the home crowd. With this, he increased his championship lead to 66 points.

After the race, the young 20-year-old chose an unusual way to celebrate the triumph: eating pasta from inside the trophy. The sculpture for the 2026 event resembles a stack of dishes, and Kimi posted images on his social media eating the ‘pasta’ from inside his prize.

“It’s hard to describe yesterday; it’s a dream come true,” Antonelli wrote on social media.
“What I experienced is something I will never forget. The Monza podium is indescribable: the warmth of all the fans and that sea of people that seems endless. I want to thank all the people who made this possible and who are making this year special,” he added.
