The 2026 Formula 1 season is about to begin with the Australian GP this coming week. And not only is the first race of the year knocking on the door, but also the return of the main category of motorsport to the Globo Group.

After a five-year hiatus, the competition returns to the Rio-based broadcaster, where it stayed for almost four decades before saying goodbye in 2020. In the 24 races of the calendar, there will be broadcasts on the open channel and on SporTV, with two independent teams, in addition to complementary content on Globoplay and the GE website.

The first is that the races on SporTV will be broadcast in 4K, ultra-definition resolution for the fan. Not only that, on its streaming platform it will make the full races available after the stages.
Speaking about Formula 2, which will also be on the Rio-based broadcaster throughout the 2026 season, a big name was brought in for the commentary: Gianluca Petecof, champion driver of the Formula Regional European Championship in 2020 and also with a stint in F2.
