Gabriel Bortoleto could not be more satisfied with what he has achieved in the first half of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Speaking exclusively to F1MANIA.NET, the Brazilian made a positive assessment of the first stages and is already eyeing the next steps of Audi.

The championship marks the first year of the German manufacturer on the grid. After the 11 races of the initial half of the calendar, the driver of car #5 has already managed to score 10 of the team’s 12 points, which is in eighth place in the Constructors’ World Championship.

Surprising the paddock with the good performance shown in 2026, Bortoleto told F1MANIA.NET what he takes from this first half of F1 2026. “An extremely positive assessment, there is nothing to say,” he commented.

“They have done an impressive job, I think everyone in the paddock can recognize that. We know we have a good package, a package that we need to improve in the engine area, it’s no news, but I am quite confident that it won’t take long,” he continued.
“I think, logically it will take some time, it’s normal, engine development is not simple at all, but already from the base we have, it is something very positive,” he concluded.
