Doriane Pin spoke more about how her work with Mercedes has been throughout the 2026 season. Involved with the Formula 1 team, the competitor highlighted the work in the simulator and aims to drive a car from the category later this year.

The Frenchwoman was the great champion of last season’s F1 Academy, a fully female category. Representing the German team, upon winning the trophy she was announced as a development driver for this championship.
Now, she commented on how the work with a Formula 1 team has been, highlighting all the learning and also thinking about doing her first test with a car from the category.

“I have already done one session, going through a lot of work — obviously very technical — and [getting to know] the team and how they work, how they work to improve the car every time they go to the track. I will do a few more this year and it will be interesting to see the evolution of the new car and me, obviously, driving a Formula 1 car this year,” she told the F1 website.
“First it will be a private test. Of course, the second step, an FP1, would be good, but that is not yet defined. We will see when the day comes that I will test the car for real and then we will see the next steps. I hope to have more opportunities in the future to drive the car and be competitive to achieve my goal in the coming years,” she added.
