Doriane Pin spoke about the opportunity to have driven a Formula 1 car. In a post on social media, the Frenchwoman wrote about how it was a special and emotional moment to drive at Silverstone.

Last weekend, the 2025 F1 Academy champion had her first test with a car from the category. A Mercedes development driver in 2026, she drove the German team’s W12, the car from the 2021 season where they achieved their eighth Constructors’ World Championship.
Doriane was accompanied by George Russell and received messages from Susie Wolff, director of the women’s category, Kimi Antonelli, and even Lewis Hamilton.
After the activities, she then wrote on her Instagram profile how special it was to experience a Formula 1 car for the first time. “Driving a Formula 1 car for the first time is something I will carry with me forever,” she began.

“An incredibly special and emotional moment for me and my family. I learned a lot about myself and gained a lot from this experience. Driving at maximum speed, learning about the car, feeling 4.5G at Copse… it’s something completely unique. That’s why I love racing,” she continued.
“I am very grateful to the entire team for their support, hard work, and for trusting me with this opportunity — for believing in me. Every lap meant something. Every lap was a step closer to a dream I have been chasing for years. No matter where you come from: if you believe and keep fighting, you can achieve much more than you ever imagined,” she concluded.
