Reginaldo Leme received one of the most special honors that Formula 1 could offer. The renowned journalist, present in the paddock of this weekend’s Australian GP, received his lifetime credential from Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the category, during a small ceremony.

F1MANIA.NET had already reported the news at last year’s São Paulo GP. Now, Regi, as he is also affectionately known, in addition to being able to follow all the races on-site, is also part of a very select group of journalists who have covered more than 500 GPs throughout their careers.
In a post on social media, Leme shared a video opening the briefcase where the credential came. “I didn’t imagine all this, it was truly a solemn delivery of the special pass that F1 granted me. The biggest surprise was on the back: “Legendary voice of F1 in Brazil” [legendary voice of F1 in Brazil],” he wrote.

“Much affection from old friend Stefano Domenicali. It was really worth coming to Australia! And everything filmed by “nephew” Enzo Bortoleto. We celebrated at dinner with the other “nephew” Gabriel Bortoleto. I love these guys and this family. Thanks also to Rodrigo França, godson and companion in the Australian adventures,” he added.
