Morestoni advances 12 positions and finishes close to the Porsche Carrera Sport podium

Concluding the Interlagos stage of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank 2026, Silvio Morestoni had a great race on the world-renowned motorsport track. After a weekend of ups and downs, the driver managed to finish in seventh place in the Carrera Sport class in his first weekend in the event’s competitive elite division.

Morestoni started from 25th position and gained four positions on the very first lap. The driver remained in the same area of the grid until he accelerated hard at the end, added to his total overtakes, and finished in 17th place overall.

After the race, the 2025 Carrera Rookie champion admitted satisfaction in achieving a favorable result despite some setbacks during the weekend.

The next stage of the category takes place on the last weekend of this month of March, at the Velocitta track, in Mogi Guaçu (interior of SP).

“Aside from qualifying, where we had a very difficult car, we did well. Today we spent the whole morning with the car on the stands, changing and adjusting several parts. The car was faster today, Porsche reacted as quickly as possible, delivered a car that allowed us to climb through the field.
